Ergo Giveaway

No, I am not giving one away... I would love to have one. However, I was reading my cousin's blog and she mentioned an ERGO giveaway on Lydia's blog. One of the requirements for entering is linking on your blog, so HERE it is :)

Pictures of what has been called the Snowpocalypse

We tried to sled, but failed. The snow was too deep. We will try again tomorrow after driving on it a few times.
We forced Jackson to "play" in the snow for awhile. We even put his purple blanket on, but he still just wanted to go back inside. Our boxers are fair weather dogs for sure.

This snow was really heavy so when we plopped down to make snow angels we only sank about three or four inches. Crazy.

The view from our front porch.
Our home.
Family pic :)
Beside the horse fields. Gorgeous.

I think the total measurement of snow from this storm was about 23 inches in our area, but it fell on top of an already existing 8 inches for a grand total of something like 30 inches on the ground right now. More snow expected on Tuesday... This has been quite a winter. We lost power for about 6 hours yesterday and it has flickered several times today so I am praying that it will stay on. We worry about getting the horses enough water when the power goes out because we have a well. I guess with a worse case scenario we can melt the snow in the house. Even with the power outages, I have enjoyed the snow. The beauty of these storms is that it forces us to slow down and spend much quality time with the family. Life is good!

Hello fellow bloggers, lurkers, and stalkers...

We are, once again, in the midst of a blizzard which has us trapped inside for quite awhile. I am not a creative person and Payton and I are getting board of playing with the same toys. Today, out of sheer desperation, I gave Payton an empty Little Debbie box (yes, we like fudge rounds... I can't believe I just admitted that on this blog... they are so unhealthy) that he carried around all day. The dogs thought it smelled tasty and chased him around for awhile... he laughed, good times. But that is where I am, running out of ideas, so I need some new ideas as I am sure there are better things that old food boxes. Any suggestions????

BTW, several new posts below :)

Counting to Three... Well, Kinda...

I have spent a lot of time at home this week due to the snow. It has been such a blessing for me to actually witness Payton's day to day learning. I often feel like I miss out on a lot of it since I work during most of his awake time. Anyhow, he has learned to hold up his finger when we ask him how old he is (although he is too busy asking for more "cookie" (aka graham cracker) in this clip). However, Payton does demonstrate his counting skills. When we say "one, two...." He follows with..."eeee". Enjoy.
