Two and a Half

My little guy turned two and a half this month and I still cannot believe it!

turned into this tiny tot! Full of life, sass, curiosity, love, attitude, and joy. I love him to the moon and back! (Our favorite thing to say to each other these days.)
Seriously, he melts my heart.

Hoping to do a little post about how my little man is changing and growing sometime soon.

First Milestone

Sometimes I do get a little sad when I think of all the milestones I missed with my oldest son: first smile, first coo, first time rolling over, first tooth, first crawl, first steps, first word, and his first four birthdays! However, I did NOT miss this important childhood milestone: first loose tooth. B's front two bottom teeth have been relatively loose for quite some time and he has been begging me to pull them out. I kept refusing because they really weren't loose enough just yet. But his little brother was willing to help. P loves to tackle B. My little 24 pound ball of muscle can wrestle his 42 pound big brother to the ground pretty darn fast. They do this a lot and so far no one has been hurt. Well on Monday the boys were wrestling and P hit B's mouth on the edge of the table. B said, "No, ouch Payton." But did not seem terribly upset. Then I noticed the blood dripping from his mouth. P had successfully knocked the tooth out! B was not at all upset! He was delighted and beaming with pride. We had to call Daddy, go show the grandparents, and take a picture! We did not really tell him about the tooth fairy as I think the idea is just to hard to explain to someone who does not know English well. So we put it under his pillow and I told him in the morning the tooth would be gone and there would be money. The tooth fairy did come and left B a whopping $5... because that was the ONLY cash she had in her wallet.

Now he is begging me to pull out the other one... so he can "feed his pig." (Put money in his piggy bank.)

By the way, as of yesterday B has been home for THREE MONTHS! I can hardly believe it. In so many ways, it feels like he has always been here.
