For this child I prayed...

1 Samuel 1:26-28

26 and she said to him, “Pardon me, my lord. As surely as you live, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. 27 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 28 So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.

In September of 2008, the Lord answered our prayers with the arrival of a precious 5 lb baby boy, Payton.

In October of 2010, the Lord heard and answered our prayers with the arrival of a stunning 4 year old boy, Bunte.

And in January of 2012, the Lord blessed us again with the arrival of another baby boy, Isaiah Reed.

We have already been asked the inevitable question, "so do you feel different after giving birth to your "own" child." Well, of course it is different, but not better. And although each of my children grew inside of different wombs, they all share the same Heavenly Father that created them and they all share the same earthly Mommy and Daddy to love them and care for them. We feel so blessed to have each of our boys.

When things settle down, I hope to find time to share the story of Isaiah arrival in to this world. It was a crazy, wild ride to say the least!
